Neal M. Dietz 
Managing Director & Chief Investment Officer

Since 1983, Neal Dietz has offered a distinctive blend of professional investment guidance and personal service. His more than 30 years of managing individual equity, mutual fund and derivative portfolios gives clients a direct line of communication to their own personal, professional wealth manager.

Neal's extensive study of technical analysis, as well as his degree in Accounting from Boston University, has guided him in doing comprehensive work with Relative Strength Investing that strives to mitigate risk and identify investment opportunity. Relative Strength attempts to identify and track those areas or sectors of the market that are stronger than others. This work is the foundation for the investment strategy provided exclusively to the clients of Dietz & Lynch Capital.

Finally, his own experience as the owner of a successful restaurant in New York (1976-1983) allows him to combine personal experience with the struggles of being an entrepreneur, thereby enabling him to advise individuals as well as small businesses and corporate clients.

In February 2010, Neal was recognized as a top financial advisor and named to the LPL Financial Chairman's Club by LPL Financial, based on production in 2009. Neal has been interviewed extensively and is featured in the book "Trader's Secrets" (Target Press. 1999).

Neal holds the General Securities Sales Supervisor (Series 8), and Series 65 registrations with LPL Financial.

Ed has worked with ERISA-qualified plan sponsors and designated fiduciaries in most aspects of plan development and maintenance since the early 1980s. In 2003, he became one of the first practitioners in the United States to complete the Accredited Investment Fiduciary Auditor, AIFA®, program of advanced studies at The Center for Fiduciary Studies (Joseph Katz School of Business, University of Pittsburgh).

In September 2008, Dietz & Lynch Capital became “[one of] the first Investment Advisors globally” to successfully complete the Centre for Fiduciary Excellence (CEFEX) independent certification process. The CEFEX certification “provides assurance to investors, both institutional and individual, that Mr. Lynch has demonstrated adherence to the industry’s best fiduciary practices…indicating [it’s] interests are aligned with those of investors.”1

In 2009, Mr. Lynch was voted by hs peers as one of the 40 “Most Influential Retirement Plan Advisors” in the United States in a national survey conducted by the 401(k) Wire, the 401(k) Exchange and The Boston Research Group. Based on over 100,000 votes from the industry, business metrics and input of an editorial board, the top 300 and top 40 were recognized for their business success, and their influence on retirement plans, their fellow advisors and retirement plan providers.

His focus in working with fiduciaries, such as pension, profit sharing and 401(k) plan sponsors and trustees of endowments and foundations, includes assisting them with:

  • Assessing compliance with accepted “standards of fiduciary care”
  • Review of documents, investment performance and due diligence files
  • Developing prudent review and monitoring processes for plan or trust assets
  • Assist with preparing, implementing and monitoring investment policy
  • Analyzing and developing asset allocation strategies
  • Evaluating reasonableness of fee structures and overall plan performance

He is a graduate, summa cum laude, of Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts, is a member of a number of professional and employee benefits organizations, a columnist as well as a frequent speaker on ERISA-plan topics.

Andy has been a Financial Advisor and Plan Consultant since 2007. Prior to Joining the firm Andy helped build The Traveling Vineyard, Inc. into the country’s largest direct seller of wine and wine accessories. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 1993 with a BS in Chemical Engineering and from Babson College in 2001 with an MBA (Magna Cum Laude) focused on Finance and Entrepreneurship. Andy is a Certified Financial Planner™.

Andy’s work with business owners focuses both on building the most successful enterprise possible, and on maximizing the benefit of that success to the owners of the business. As an active member of Exit Planning Exchange Boston, Andy has worked with professionals in many fields that support exit planning – investment bankers, accountants, valuation professionals, attorneys, consultants to help business owners seeking to optimize their transition outcome.

With individuals he takes an educational approach, starting with the basics of cash-flow and working through asset protection, tax planning, education and major purchase planning, retirement income planning, through estate and legacy planning.

Andy holds series 7, 63 and 65 securities registrations through, is a registered representative with LPL Financial, and is a licensed life and health insurance producer. As an active member of BNI and the Lexington Lion’s club, he seeks fun ways to give back to his community. He has lived in Needham, Massachusetts for thirteen years. He and his wife, Sara, have a son, Leito, and a daughter, Mirabelle.

Prior to affiliating with Dietz & Lynch Capital, Erica co-founded and served as managing partner of Participant Level Advice Network (P.L.A.N.), a Registered Investment Advisory firm, that provided investment advice and financial planning services to individuals in participant directed retirement plans such as 401(k), 403(b) and 457 plans. As one of the first certified Register Fiduciary® advisors in the country, Erica and her firm are positioned to provide advice to all participants in the workplace and are committed to the way plan sponsors approach their fiduciary responsibilities to their employees.

Erica’s 15 years of experience as founder and principal of EF Financial, a Boston based financial planning firm, and her prior 7 years of experience at various Banking Institutions have prepared her to operate using a fiduciary standard of care when helping the next generation navigate the reality of retirement without a company pension.

Erica, a graduate of University of Massachusetts earned her Certified Financial Planner™ designation in 1998. She has earned numerous sales achievement awards for outstanding performance and customer service including Top 10 Woman Advisors (Woman’s Business Journal 2007) and three consecutive Boston Five Star Wealth Manager awards. She is also involved in several non-profit organizations including Youth Villages at Germaine Lawrence and is the Director of Government Relations and board member of the Financial Planning Association of Massachusetts.

Prior to affiliating with Dietz & Lynch Capital, Rachael was a co-founder of Participant Level Advice Network (P.L.A.N.), a Registered Investment Advisory firm based in Boston Massachusetts focusing on retirement plan participant advice and education. Rachael follows a process which engages retirement plan participants and trustees through their advice and education programs with a goal of greater participant and plan success. Her team uses a highly personalized one-on-one method to encourage participants to embrace their role in the retirement planning process. 

Shortly after congress passed the Pension Protection Act in 2006, Rachael became one of the first advisors in the United States to complete the DALBAR Certified Registered Fiduciary® program, allowing her to deliver investment advice to participants while providing fiduciary relief to plan sponsors for that advice.

With nearly 20 years of investment and retirement planning experience, Rachael and her team are positioned to provide advice to all participants in the workplace while being committed to changing the way plan sponsors approach their fiduciary responsibilities to their employees.

Prior to founding P.L.A.N., Rachael work as an Investment Consultant at Fidelity Investments where she offered investment solutions to help clients understand and navigate complex money management strategies. This experience provided Rachael with the opportunity work as an Independent Investment Advisor Representative at LPL Financial, a role she continues to employ along with her participant advice solutions.

Rachael Clasby is a graduate of Bryant University with a BA in Business Management. She holds her securities Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses as well as her Insurance license. In addition, Rachael is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary, AIF®. She currently lives in Holliston, Massachusetts with her husband and three children.

Spencer has been a financial advisor and plan consultant since 2000. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary™.

He was recognized by 401kWire, a leading financial trade publication, as one of the “Top 300 Most Influential Defined Contribution Advisors” in the country for 2011 & 2012. This ranking is based on almost 3,000 nominations from across the financial services industry as well as from their editorial staff. The final list was based on more than 120,000 reader votes as well as input from distributors working with the advisors, honorees of last year’s 401kWire Top 40 Advisors ranking, and an analysis of objective criteria including statistics about the advisors' practices which was obtained directly from all of the nominated advisors.

In February 2012, Spencer was recognized by Boston Magazine as a 5-star Wealth Manager for a second time. Boston Magazine conducted a survey of high net worth individuals and magazine subscribers and out of the over 14,000 wealth managers in the greater Boston area Spencer was one of less than 600 professionals chosen. The 5 star wealth Manager is and award based on client satisfaction. Respondents evaluate criteria such as service, expertise, value for fee charged and overall satisfaction. The overall evaluation score is based on an average of all respondents and may not be representative of any one client’s evaluation.

Spencer earned his B.S. in Physics from Old Dominion University, his Certified Financial Planner designation from the College for Financial Planning and his Accredited Investment Fiduciary designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies. He holds series 6, 7, 63 and 24 securities registrations through LPL Financial and also holds an insurance producer license. As a Past President of Lexington Rotary and a Paul Harris Fellow, a Mason and a member of a number of networking groups, Spencer stays active within the community. He lives in Bedford with his wife, Jessica, and two small children, Taylor and Ryan.
